Our Zeta Pi Alumni Association is proud to introduce a new scholarship opportunity to the undergraduate chapter.
This will begin in Fall 2024.

For much of the year, the ZPAA’s Scholarship Committee (chaired by Brother John Hendley) has been hard at work creating the guidelines and framework for how the scholarship committee handles and awards funds collected through ZPAA dues.
As a reminder, 25% of the ZPAA dues go toward scholarships.
The following guidelines by the scholarship committee aim to help achieve our ZPAA’s goal of distributing needed funds to the Active members.
- Scholarship money will be appropriated 25% academically and 75% needs-based. Award amounts will be determined based on actual paid membership dues for the year.
- The application will be available on the Sigma Pi Oakland website and to the chapter scholarship chair. Completed applications will be submitted to the ZPAA scholarship chair, who will then collect them and review them with the scholarship committee.
- For 2024: Scholarship applications will be accepted from 10/15/24-11/15/24.
- Scholarship money will be awarded on 12/15/24, and the current ZPAA treasurer will mail a check to the award recipient(s).
- Scholarship awards are available only to active members in good standing with the chapter.
- Applications must be filled out and reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. They must be submitted with the most recent academic records showing GPA. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
- The ZPAA plans to award the entire budget during the Fall 2024 application timeline.
- The ZPAA (with Scholarship Committee guidance) makes the final decision on awards.
Please return to the chapter’s Scholarship Committee by the specified deadline. You can submit this directly to Scholarship Chair John Hendley or through the ZPAA leadership board or the Chapter’s Undergraduate Scholarship liaison.
